The sultans of the Timurid Period (1370-1507) gave importance to art. Timurid Sultan Gıyaseddin Baysungur Mirza, like other Timurid Sultans, protected artists and provided all kinds of opportunities to calligraphers and artists. Şemseddin Muhammed, who wrote this Quran, which is one of the most important works of the period, is one of these artists.
