The production of Çeşm-i Bülbül emerged during the work in Beykoz glass workshops during the reign of Sultan Selim III (1789-1807), by adding colored crystal rods to the crystal mass in a certain order and twisting it with a special skill.
Çeşm-i Bülbül is called “Bülbül Gözü” as the pattern of the glasses produced in this technique resembles the nightingale eye and continues to be produced with the traditional production method.
