Those who dive illegally into sunken ships are missing amphora and similar portable artifacts they find. The presence of wrecks is determined by amphoras piled up in underwater sand. In Turkish territorial waters, forbidden diving areas have been determined for the transportation of sunken ships to future generations without being robbed or destroyed.
Ancient Amphoras were inspired by the amphoras that determine the presence of shipwrecks. The relief patterns on the amphora are a reference to the creation of works one by one by bringing together thousands of glass pieces that have been removed.
The sunken ship and its cargo have been exhibited in Bodrum Underwater Archeology Museum since 1985 under the auspices of Şişecam. The story of Glass Wreck and the endless recyclability of glass reach a wider audience with the documentary “Glass Again Glass”.
USA, Germany, Russia, Denmark, Italy, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Ukraine and the United Kingdom in countries such as the amphora removed from Turkey has exhibited in many historical monuments and museums.
